REQEUST FOR ENTRY OF DEFAULT JUDGEMENT

The Court enters default judgment in the amount of $12,818.09.

BACKGROUND:

Plaintiff commenced this action on 08/10/17 against defendants for: (1) violations of the Unruh Act; (2) violations of the California Disabled Persons Act; and (3) declaratory relief, injunction, and damages. Plaintiff is blind and alleges that defendants’ business does not have detectable warnings as required by the Building Code. The lack of such warnings subjected plaintiff to unnecessary risk of potentially severe injuries.

ANALYSIS:

The complaint alleges the amount of compensatory damages sought, and this is supported by the declaration provided. (See Compl., ¶ 21; Calderon Decl., ¶ 4.)

However, plaintiff has not submitted a declaration re attorney’s fees. Although plaintiff’s counsel submitted a declaration, it does not address attorney’s fees.

Therefore, the Court will enter default judgment as indicated below:
