AMPE Group, LLC et al vs Paul Chun
Plaintiffs’ Motion to Compel Chun’s Further Answers to Discovery Requests and Production of Documents is GRANTED.
In defendant’s opposition, he largely defends his failure to provide further code-compliant responses by asserting that moving party failed to properly and effectively meet and confer and suggesting that further responses would be forthcoming.
Apparently, additional written responses to discovery, as promised, had not been provided by the time of plaintiff’s reply brief.
Under these circumstances, this court has no desire to wade through 27 individual RPDs and 12 FI’s that well may have been supplemented by the time of the hearing.
Therefore, defendant shall serve code-compliant responses to each of the discovery requests, with an appropriate privilege log, within 20 days of this order.
If plaintiff contends the responses remain inadequate, he may bring a new motion to compel, after a meet and confer effort.
This court directs that the parties take advantage of CCP section 2016.080 before bringing any further motion practice.
Defendant and its counsel shall pay monetary sanctions in the amount of $5,000 within 20 days.
