Since it appears the judgment debtor has understated his/her monthly income, since the court is not persuaded that all of the earnings of the judgment debtor are necessary for his/her support and/or the support of dependent family members and since it appears that several of the claimed monthly expenses are excessive, the claim of exemption is GRANTED in that the Sheriff is directed to withhold $250 per pay period, up to $500 per month, from the judgment debtor’s earnings and to return to the judgment debtor forthwith all funds withheld in excess of that amount.

The employer may send one payment of $500 per month to avoid unnecessary administrative expenses. (Code Civ. Proc. §706.025.)
