[TENTATIVE] ORDER RE: MOTION TO BE RELIEVED AS COUNSEL; COUNSEL ORDERED TO APPEAR

Michael Shemtoub, counsel of record for Plaintiff, seeks to be relieved on grounds that irreconcilable differences have arisen. Absent a showing of resulting prejudice, an attorney’s request for withdrawal should be granted. (People v. Prince (1968) 268 Cal.App.2d 398, 406.) Counsel’s Motion complies with California Rules of Court, Rule 3.1362. However, the Court notes that trial in this matter is currently set for November 30, 2018. Due to the close proximity of trial, counsel is ordered to appear at the hearing to discuss the status of the case and to ensure no prejudice results to Plaintiff by his withdrawal. Counsel is also ordered to bring a proposed order (MC-053) to the hearing.
