Two (2) Motions by Defendant, Theorphis Thompson, to Compel Plaintiff, Salvador Betancourt’s, Initial Responses to Form Interrogatories, Set One; and Initial Request for Production of Documents, Set One; Request for Sanctions, filed on 6/7/18, are GRANTED. Plaintiff, Salvador Betancourt, is ordered to provide verified responses to the discovery at issue without objections within 10 days. Untimely responses result in a waiver of objections. Cal Code Civil Procedure §2030.290(a)l § 2031.300.

There is no opposition showing substantial justification for the failure to provide verified responses. The court imposes total sanctions of $670.00 for both motions against Plaintiff Betancourt, and counsel, R. Robert Monterrosa Esq., for the failure to provide verified responses to authorized methods of discovery, which constitutes discovery abuse. Cal Code Civ. Procedure § 2023.010(a)(4). Such sanctions are payable within thirty (30) days.
