County of Santa Barbara v. Tyler Beerman
Case No: 18CV05635
Hearing Date: Tue Jul 23, 2019 10:30
Nature of Proceedings: Req. for Order: Harassment Restraining Order Workplace Violence
Req. for Order: Harassment Restraining Order/Workplace Violence
Attorney: Michelle Montez for Plaintiff; Thomas D. Sands for Defendant
Ruling: For the reasons set out below the matter is continued to November 26, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. sua sponte, to the Family Law CMC Calendar. All temporary orders previously made will remain in full force and effect until further order of court.
Analysis
The case was last on calendar on 4/30/19 [nothing filed since then except that the matter was continued to 7/23 on 5/21] and the Court made the following ruling: the matter was continued to July 23, 2019, to the Family Law CMC Calendar; all temporary DVROs will remain in effect until further order of Court.
Background
Prior to 4/30 the case was last on calendar on 1/29/19; the file reflects that on 1/17/19 Mr. Sands, counsel for the restrained party, filed a Notice of Stay and reported that the reason for the stay was there was a pending criminal case between the same parties and a stipulation of all counsel was now in place. Counsel submitted an Order on Request to Continue Hearing, to 4/30/19; it was signed and filed.
Between 4/30 and 7/23 nothing further has been filed; it appears there has been no change in the circumstances.
Court’s Conclusions
It appears that the Court’s involvement is not now necessary as there was nothing filed making any requests. This matter should be continued to November 26, 2019, sua sponte, to the Family Law Calendar at 10:30 am; all temporary orders previously made will remain in full force and effect until further order of court.
Counsel for Plaintiff shall give notice.
