Plaintiff’s motion to deem admitted those matters specified in plaintiff’s requests for admissions to defendant Campus is UNOPPOSED and is GRANTED.

The notice of motion does not provide notice of the court’s tentative ruling system, as required by Local Rule 1.06, and does not provide the correct address for Dept. 53/54. Moving counsel is directed to contact opposing party and advise him/her of Local Rule 1.06 and the court’s tentative ruling procedure and the manner to request a hearing, along with the correct address for Dept. 53/54. If moving counsel is unable to contact opposing party prior to hearing, moving counsel is ordered to appear at the hearing in person or by telephone.

Moving counsel failed to comply with CRC Rule 3.1110(b)(3)-(4).

Plaintiff is awarded mandatory monetary sanctions under Code of Civil Procedure §2033.280(c) in the amount of $100 for one hour of attorney time. No request was made for the $60 filing fee. Sanctions to be paid by defendant no later than 4/6/2018 and if not paid by that date, plaintiff may prepare for the court’s signature a formal order granting the sanctions, which may then be enforced as a separate judgment. ( Newland v. Superior Court (1995) 40 Cal.App.4th 608, 615.)

Moving party to provide notice of this ruling and file proof of service of same no later than 3/13/2018.
