Sharon Scofield vs. Jugjit S Johal - This tentative ruling, which we confirmed from the court minutes as the court's final ruling, says James Anwyl represented at least two different defendants. Both defendants were apparently previously ordered by the court to answer discovery. In defiance of the court's order they did not. The Sacramento Judge sanctioned attorney James Anwyl, twice for a total amount of $1425, and again ordered that his clients answer discovery. The judge also ruled that if James Anwyl did not pay the sanctions ordered against him the plaintiff could have the sanctions enforced as a separate judgment. This would allow the plaintiff to go after James Anwyl's assets to force him to pay the court sanctions.
