East West Bank v Creative Environments of Hollywood - Curtis Jung is the attorney for the plaintiff. In this tentative ruling the judge is ordering Curtis Jung's client to pay $1060 in sanctions for failing to produce an employee for deposition. Curtis Jung argued that before a motion can be filed there must be a meet and confer attempt, but the judge said Curtis Jung was wrong about the law and this did not apply when someone did not appear for a deposition and defendant's counsel did make an inquiry about where the witness was when she did not appear, as required by the code.
