When they refused the defendant brought another motion to terminate their lawsuit, which the court granted. Elias Portales did not oppose the motion. Defendant also filed another motion for sanction, which the court granted against Elias Portales' clients. Again, Elias Portales did not oppose the sanctions motion. Overall Elias Portales' clients were to be sanctioned $2352.50. Additionally, the judge noted that when defendant's sought to meet and confer to resolve matters, Elias Portales responded "My job is not to jump when you say so." and then stopped communicating.
